Are you passionate about safety and delivering an excellent customer experience? As a Receptionist / Security Officer with ISS UK, you will play a key role in creating a safe and secure environment, protecting colleagues, customers, and assets through professional security operations, while providing a welcoming and professional front-of-house presence on site.
The Role
- Always ensure the safety and security of the site and all individuals present
- Remain vigilant and proactively identify and respond to any suspicious activity
- Prevent any unauthorised access to the premises through effective security procedures
- Maintain awareness of on-site activities and daily operations to support effective service delivery
- Build and maintain positive, professional relationships with customers and colleagues
- Adhere to all Health & Safety procedures and promptly report any hazards or breaches
- Work effectively both independently and as part of a team, depending on site requirements
About You
- Previous experience within a security, reception, or customer-facing environment is preferred
- Hold a valid front-line SIA licence (Security Guarding, Door Supervision, or Close Protection)
- Knowledge and experience of security systems and related technology
- Experience in a reception or front-of-house environment, including managing visitors, handling enquiries, and creating a professional first impression
- Strong attention to detail with a consistent and methodical approach to tasks
- Reliable team player with excellent customer service and communication skills, both face-to-face and over the phone
- Professional appearance and demeanour, with the ability to represent the organisation positively at all times
- Willingness to learn and develop professionally
