We are looking for someone who can provide a world-class building services maintenance service while operating both independently and as part of a wider FM/engineering team. This role covers multiple locations, and a full driving licence is essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform scheduled inspections, preventative and corrective maintenance on plumbing systems and equipment.
- Carry out repairs, adjustments, testing, and troubleshooting in line with plumbing codes, diagrams, manuals, and manufacturer guidance.
- Repair cracked pipes, clear blockages, and work safely from ladders, scaffolding, and elevated equipment as required.
- Observe systems in operation to detect faults, dismantle devices, and replace defective parts.
- Inspect used components for specification compliance and recalibration needs.
- Test and calibrate plumbing systems using appropriate tools and measuring instruments.
- Maintain complex plumbing systems including washers, steam cleaning devices, compressors, hydraulic lifts, water and drainage systems, and sprinkler systems.
- Conduct leak detection tests, solder/braze tubing and piping, and install or repair couplings, unions, joints, and plumbing fixtures in line with manufacturer requirements.
Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications
- Level 2–3 Plumbing qualification.
- Open to applications from apprenticeship finishers.
- Previous building services experience preferred.
- Willingness to participate in an on-call rota.
- Ability to work independently and within a wider FM/engineering team.
- Must hold a full driving licence and be able to cover: South West Scotland, Kendal, Dumfries, Newcastle, Brampton / A69 corridor.
