We are looking for someone who will play a key role in empowering colleagues through collaboration and technical expertise. Based primarily at a London site, the Technical Assistant will also support a range of client properties across the business, ensuring safe working practices, asset protection, and service excellence every day.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out fabric-related PPM, proactive and reactive works issued through the helpdesk within agreed timeframes.
  • Deliver building services maintenance including exterior works, plumbing, mechanical tasks and carpentry-related repairs.
  • Undertake external grounds maintenance duties as required.
  • Provide callout response for the client in line with the callout rota.
  • Perform contractor control duties, including monitoring workmanship and issuing Permits to Work when necessary.
  • Ensure all equipment operates to required performance criteria and that surrounding areas meet agreed company standards.
  • Represent the company professionally to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Evaluate performance of contracted equipment and ensure appropriate servicing and maintenance are completed.

Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications

  • Experience providing plumbing, carpentry and fabric-related building services maintenance, including fault finding, maintenance and installation.
  • Significant previous experience in delivering reactive and PPM building services maintenance.
  • Experience working within FM or building services in commercial properties.
  • Demonstrated experience working under strict Health & Safety procedures, including risk assessments and method statements.
  • Ability to use standard powered and non-powered tools effectively.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to engage with employees, contractors and vendors.
