We are looking for an individual who can combine practical nutrition expertise with confident, engaging communication. The role includes hands-on interaction during lunch periods, delivery of training and programmes, and producing termly reports to present to the client, alongside contributing to allergen management, auditing, and special diet menu support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver nutrition education to primary school children, parents and teachers, including interactive sessions and lunch-time engagement
  • Encourage uptake of free school meals across schools within the contract
  • Produce termly reports for the client on nutrition activity and impact
  • Support allergen management and develop training materials for management teams
  • Contribute to auditing processes related to nutrition, allergen management and compliance
  • Work with the central team during school holidays to support special diet menus
  • Assess menu compliance against School Food Standards
  • Support delivery, auditing and continuous improvement of training programmes on healthy eating and allergen management

Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications

  • Confident presenting to children, parents and teachers in an engaging and entertaining way
  • Strong knowledge of nutrition
  • Understanding of special dietary requirements, allergen management legislation and School Food Standards
  • Degree in Nutrition (or suitable equivalent)
  • Registered Nutritionist or Dietitian (ANutr, RNut or RD)
  • Full UK driving licence, with willingness to travel across multiple school sites
