Job Description This role will be responsible for establishing a world-class engineering capability, ensuring compliance, driving operational excellence and supporting growth through technical leadership, innovation and transformation. We are looking for a senior technical leader who will act as the organisation’s technical authority, shaping the future of engineering services while supporting major client relationships, strategic bids, mobilisations and the development of industry-leading technical standards. Key Responsibilities Develop and execute a UK-wide engineering and technical services strategy aligned to business objectives. Provide executive leadership across engineering, hard services, technical governance, compliance and assurance. Establish and maintain robust engineering standards, policies, best-practice frameworks and technical risk management processes. Drive engineering excellence through reliability improvement, asset performance optimisation and operational consistency. Lead engineering transformation programmes, innovation initiatives and the adoption of technology-enabled service delivery models. Provide technical leadership for strategic bids, tenders, client solutions, contract mobilisations and transformation projects. Build trusted client relationships and position the business as a strategic engineering partner. Develop and lead a high-performing technical leadership community, including succession planning, mentoring and capability development. Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications Executive or senior leadership experience within Engineering, Technology Services, Hard FM, Building Services, M&E or a related sector. Proven track record of leading large-scale engineering functions within complex, multi-site environments. Significant experience driving technical transformation and change programmes. Experience supporting major bids, client solutions and contract mobilisations. Strong understanding of engineering governance, compliance and risk management. Strategic thinker with the ability to create a compelling long-term vision and anticipate future industry and customer needs. Strong executive presence with the ability to influence Board-level, executive and client stakeholders. Results-driven, with accountability for delivering ambitious objectives while maintaining quality and compliance.
