We are looking for a confident and credible HSEQ professional who can work collaboratively with operational teams, clients and embedded HSEQ resources. You will provide assurance that health, safety, environmental and quality standards are fully met. Reporting to the HSEQ Manager – Ops Performance, this role requires flexibility, strong stakeholder engagement and the ability to operate effectively in fast-paced, varied environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the mobilisation and transformation of HSEQ elements into new contracts, ensuring client expectations and critical milestones are met.
- Implement ISS HSEQ plans practically across client estates, adapting processes where required to suit contract risk profiles.
- Provide proactive, hands-on HSEQ support to operational teams to enable safe, efficient and compliant service delivery.
- Work with operational managers, PMO, embedded HSEQ resources and clients to ensure mobilisation readiness and assurance prior to go-live.
- Understand and manage contract-specific risks, proactively identifying hazards and implementing effective control measures.
- Embed safe systems of work, including lone working, contractor management, permits and CAFM-aligned workflows.
- Support TUPE transfers, training requirements and cross-functional working with cleaning, technical and support teams.
- Build and promote a strong safety culture, ensuring all health and safety procedures and risk management practices are followed.
Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications
- Proven HSEQ experience with a strong understanding of health, safety, environmental and quality management systems.
- Mobilisation or transition experience within FM or similarly fast-paced, operational environments.
- Sound knowledge of ISO standards including ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
- Ability to identify, assess and manage operational risks effectively.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to engage senior ISS leaders and client representatives.
- Ability to stand up to client scrutiny and instil confidence through professional, credible HSEQ leadership.
- Experience working collaboratively across multifunctional teams and complex contract environments.
- UK driving licence required for travel to client sites.
Location and Travel
Flexible location, ideally based in England with a focus on London to Midlands contracts. Largely home-based, with travel typically 2-3 days per week depending on mobilisation activity. Occasional overnight stays may be required.
