We are seeking a Day Engineer to complete Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPMs) and reactive maintenance across the Westfield contract, while also supporting other engineers with client-driven tasks and jobs. This role requires a proactive and technically competent engineer who can work across electrical and mechanical systems while maintaining high service standards in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment. We are looking for an engineer with strong facilities management experience who can manage his own workload, respond effectively to urgent requests, and maintain accurate compliance documentation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Complete PPM and reactive maintenance tasks across electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Carry out scheduled PPMs on HVAC, lighting, power distribution, pumps, and control systems.
  • Diagnose faults and resolve issues promptly to minimise downtime.
  • Inspect, test, and maintain electrical assets including wiring, lighting, and distribution boards.
  • Service and maintain mechanical systems such as boilers, chillers, and air-handling units.
  • Complete maintenance, repair, and compliance records accurately and on time.
  • Liaise with the management team to ensure service levels are met or exceeded.
  • Manage own workload effectively by prioritising tasks based on urgency and operational impact.

Qualifications

  • Experience working within the FM (Facilities Management) environment.
  • Proven experience working across multiple sites.
  • Experience completing both PPM and reactive maintenance works.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a small team.
  • Primary electrical background with: 18th Edition NVQ or City & Guilds in Electrical Installations OR mechanical qualifications such as: NVQ or City & Guilds in Mechanical Engineering.
