As a Facilities Assistant, you will be responsible for providing high-quality support services to staff and visitors, ensuring security procedures are followed, and maintaining compliance with HSEQ standards. You will play a key role in managing reception services, coordinating reactive and planned maintenance, and supporting audits and low to medium-risk projects. This position requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome visitors and provide front-of-house support.
- Ensure security procedures and compliance with fire safety and first aid legislation.
- Deliver support services such as porterage, meeting room management, and FM mailbox handling.
- Conduct health and safety inductions for new starters, visitors, and contractors.
- Log, facilitate, and oversee reactive and planned maintenance visits.
- Assist with audits, including security and compliance checks.
- Support delivery of low to medium-risk projects.
- Manage reception duties, including switchboard services and visitor access control.
- Maintain first aid supplies and act as a trained first aider.
- Operate booking systems for meeting rooms and manage stock levels for refreshments and stationery.
- Provide general administrative support to the facilities team.
