Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver AC and refrigeration-biased PPM, proactive and reactive works via the helpdesk within set timeframes.
  • Inspect, repair, modify and install refrigeration and air conditioning equipment, including compressors, chillers and system controls.
  • Carry out regular preventative maintenance inspections and undertake required adjustments or repairs.
  • Diagnose faults and repair or replace defective parts such as thermostats, switches, motors, compressors, heat exchangers and controls.
  • Install, rebuild, replace or repair fans, motors, filters, bearings, valves, gaskets and associated components.
  • Maintain refrigeration and air conditioning systems across commercial and retail environments.
  • Undertake other building services maintenance tasks, including HVAC, mechanical and fabric-related works.
  • Work in line with strict Health & Safety procedures, including risk assessments and method statements.

Qualifications

  • City & Guilds 2079 Safe Handling of Refrigerants or CITB J11 equivalent and NVQ Level 2/3 or City & Guilds in one of the following: Commercial Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Systems, Heating and Ventilation, Heating and Ventilation Service & Maintenance.
  • IPAF and/or PASMA.
  • Full UK driving licence (company van provided).
