As a Kitchen Porter with ISS UK, you will be at the heart of the action and will play a key role in our catering operation, assisting with deliveries, preparation and service of food while maintaining excellent standards of cleanliness and safety.
Responsibilities:
- Organise cleaning materials for daily use and liaise with the line manager to replenish required stocks when low.
- Collect all rubbish from bins and kitchen areas, replace liners, and remove all refuse from the building.
- Keep all surfaces clean and remove any stains or spillages.
- Ensure all kitchen areas are left clean and tidy at all times, including cleanliness of the fridge, preparation and sink areas, washing of glasses and crockery, and restocking cupboards.
- Only use company-approved chemicals when cleaning.
- Wear the required protective clothing where necessary.
- Wash all kitchen and front-of-house floors using approved chemicals and appropriate signage.
Qualifications:
- Preferred: catering experience; essential: positive, can-do attitude.
- Good understanding of the principles of food hygiene.
- Ability to follow instructions while using initiative to make appropriate decisions in the best interests of the customer.
- Customer-focused, ensuring every customer has an excellent experience.
- Determined team player who works well with others.
