Commis Chef in Hardingstone

As a Commis Chef, you'll work alongside senior chefs to support food preparation, cooking, and service across multiple kitchen sections.

It's a role for someone who is passionate about food, keen to learn, and excited to grow their culinary expertise while contributing to a safe, high-quality, and welcoming hospitality experience for every guest.

The Role

• Assist with the preparation, cooking, and presentation of food across all kitchen sections
• Follow recipes, prep sheets, and portion controls in line with ISS standards
• Support service delivery ensuring food is produced to the required quality and on time
• Rotate through different kitchen areas (main kitchen, deli, hospitality, prep, etc.) to build skills
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, organisation, and food hygiene at all times
• Follow all food safety, allergen, and HACCP procedures (including Saffron and labelling processes)
• Assist with stock rotation (FIFO), deliveries, and basic stock control
• Reduce waste and support sustainability initiatives
• Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure smooth day-to-day operations
• Demonstrate flexibility to support events, functions, and business needs
• Willingness to learn and develop within a professional kitchen
• Ability to work across different kitchen sections
• Good attention to detail, particularly with food safety and allergens
• Good time management and ability to follow instructions
• Positive attitude and flexible approach to work
• Strong team player with good communication skills
• Calm and professional under pressure
