We’re looking for a passionate and driven Sous Chef who is eager to develop within a supportive, growth-focused environment. Working as part of ISS UK, this role involves close collaboration with the Chef Manager and a small, dedicated team in a modern, well‑equipped kitchen. The staff restaurant has recently undergone an exciting transformation, featuring a refreshed look with a Grab & Go offer, a brand‑new Coffee Bar, and a stylish dining space. This role is pivotal in delivering exceptional food and service to our customers.
The Role
- Prepare and deliver delicious, high‑quality food for breakfast and lunch services, Monday to Friday
- Support the delivery of outstanding catering services across the restaurant and hospitality functions
- Ensure deadlines are met and services run smoothly, efficiently, and on time
- Maintain excellent hygiene standards and ensure all kitchen and service areas are clean, organised, and compliant
- Uphold all health and safety standards to ensure a safe and secure working environment
- Work collaboratively with the wider ISS team to create an exceptional experience for colleagues and customers
- Provide cover for the Chef Manager during periods of holiday and sickness
About You
- NVQ Level 3 (or working towards) or an equivalent professional cookery qualification
- Culinary experience in a similar environment
- A genuine passion for producing great‑tasting, high‑quality food
- Strong knowledge of food hygiene and safety standards
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build positive working relationships
- Highly motivated, reliable, and well‑organised with excellent timekeeping
