This hands-on role involves fault finding, repairs, installation, and both reactive and planned preventive maintenance (PPM), ensuring that all work meets high standards and customer expectations. The ideal candidate will have experience across multiple building services disciplines, including electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and general fabric maintenance. You will also take part in contractor supervision, callout response, and ensure that all work is accurately recorded and compliant with contractual requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver PPM, reactive, and proactive maintenance across electrical and mechanical building systems.
- Carry out general building services maintenance, including HVAC, mechanical, and fabric tasks.
- Respond to callouts as scheduled on the callout rota.
- Undertake contractor control duties, monitoring workmanship and issuing permits to work where required.
- Provide a professional service, representing the company and ensuring high customer satisfaction.
- Ensure all work complies with contractual obligations and customer requirements.
- Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation related to maintenance and service activities.
Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications
- Significant experience in building services maintenance, including fault finding, installation, and testing.
- Proven background in reactive and PPM maintenance within commercial or FM environments.
- Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems, HVAC, and general building maintenance.
- Experience working with commercial properties or FM contracts.
- Professional, reliable, and customer-focused with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and maintain high standards under pressure.
