As a Ground Operator / Caretaker with ISS UK, you will play a key role in ensuring that the site, buildings, and grounds are maintained to a high standard, creating a safe and welcoming environment for staff and visitors alike. The buildings and surrounding grounds are an important part of promoting a professional image for our client. You will support the day-to-day upkeep, security, and presentation of the site while ensuring compliance with health, safety, and statutory requirements.

The Role

  • Ensure the site, buildings, and grounds are maintained to a clean, safe, and professional standard
  • Carry out regular inspections of the premises and report maintenance or repair requirements
  • Complete basic repairs and maintenance tasks within remit and in line with the ISS Site Manual
  • Monitor heating, lighting, and security systems, reporting any faults or defects promptly
  • Maintain cleanliness across the site, including grounds, car parks, washrooms, and bin areas
  • Carry out porterage duties, waste removal, emergency cleaning, and deep cleaning as required
  • Open and close the building, ensuring the site is secure and alarm systems are operated correctly
  • Conduct daily perimeter and security checks, reporting hazards, unsafe practices, and near hits in line with company procedures

  • Previous caretaker, grounds maintenance, cleaning, or facilities experience would be beneficial
