We are looking for a passionate sustainability professional to work with high-profile clients, driving forward the development and delivery of environmental targets while ensuring energy efficiency best practice is embedded across all sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure the effective management of energy resources to meet company and client objectives and targets
- Identify, develop and support the implementation of new energy-related opportunities
- Promote energy efficiency and provide advice to support the development of energy-efficient practices
- Develop energy conservation measures (ECMs) with associated Return on Investment (ROI)
- Develop and advise on energy solutions, progressing these into working projects
- Undertake energy surveys across customer premises, including offices and retail environments
- Develop and implement strategic briefs for design guides and standards to meet customer objectives
- Provide full feasibility studies of costed initiatives to reduce energy usage and/or supply (e.g. embedded generation, CHP)
Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications
- Detailed experience in an energy management or similar role
- Strong understanding of building systems including HVAC, BMS, lighting and controls
- Proven experience delivering energy saving projects and developing business cases
- Ability to analyse energy data, benchmarks and utility performance
- Experience using energy monitoring & targeting (M&T) software
- Strong communication skills, able to influence clients and non-technical stakeholders
- Background working within FM, multi-site, or complex client environments
- Completion of a recognised degree or equivalent in energy, building services or engineering (e.g. mechanical or electrical) is preferred, but not essential if sufficient experience within Energy Management is evident
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across client sites (electric car/car allowance)
