As a Security Officer with ISS, you will be at the forefront of creating a safe environment, protecting your colleagues and our customer's property, people, and assets by providing exemplary security operations. This role requires a self-motivated individual who can remain alert, respond calmly to incidents, and maintain high standards of professionalism throughout the working day.
The Role
- Ensure the safety and security of the site and everyone on it at all times
- Carry out regular patrols of the site, grounds, and car parks
- Remain vigilant and identify any suspicious activity, responding appropriately and reporting incidents when required
- Provide a professional and helpful customer service experience to staff and visitors
- Prevent unauthorised access through effective access control procedures
- Monitor alarm systems and respond promptly when necessary
- Build positive and professional relationships with customers and colleagues
- Follow all Health & Safety procedures and report any concerns or breaches
- Work effectively both independently and as part of a wider team, depending on site requirements
About You
- Previous security experience is preferred
- A valid front-line SIA Security Guarding, Door Supervision, or Close Protection licence
- Excellent written, verbal, and computer communication skills
- Experience using security systems and related technology, including CCTV, alarms, and building management systems
- Strong attention to detail and a consistent, professional approach
- A team player with excellent customer service skills
- New recruits will be encouraged to enrol on a relevant apprenticeship programme as part of their ongoing training and development opportunities
