We are seeking an experienced Healthcare Cleaning Supervisor to oversee cleaning operations within a busy acute hospital environment at Coventry Hospital. This hands‑on supervisory role involves managing teams, maintaining high standards of cleanliness, and ensuring full compliance with healthcare and Trust requirements.

Key Responsibilities
- Supervise domestic services across 5‑6 hospital wards, managing approximately 15 frontline cleaning staff
- Ensure delivery of an effective and efficient cleaning service in line with Trust and departmental standards
- Allocate workloads, manage rotas, and update work schedules to meet service demands
- Carry out quality control audits and inspections in conjunction with ward and departmental managers
- Manage escalations and respond professionally to clinical and non‑clinical stakeholders
- Support recruitment, induction, training, appraisals, sickness absence, and performance management
- Identify stock requirements, raise requisitions, and support trials of new cleaning materials and equipment
Qualifications
- Proven supervisory experience within a cleaning or domestic services environment
- Experience within healthcare, education, or similarly regulated environments is desirable
- Strong people management and customer‑facing skills
- Basic computer literacy (rotas, audits, and paperwork)
- Good understanding of cleaning standards, compliance, and health & safety requirements
- Professional, approachable, and confident communication style
