As Security Supervisor, you will represent the professional standards and corporate presence of a prestigious financial institution, delivering a seamless blend of high‑level security and exceptional client service. In this high‑profile role you will take ownership of all security operations within your designated building, ensuring the protection of people, property and critical infrastructure while maintaining a safe, secure and welcoming environment. Acting as a visible leader, you will oversee incident management, respond decisively to emerging situations and ensure full compliance with corporate policies and procedures. Working closely with operational management and client stakeholders, you will drive a professional, efficient and customer‑focused service that reflects the reputation, values and standards of the organisation.

Responsibilities

  • Take responsibility for the physical security of the premises in conjunction with the other Supervisor on duty.
  • Lead shift operations, fostering a high‑morale team culture and delivering first‑line HR duties, including appraisals, training, mentoring and disciplinary processes.
  • Roster and staff the security team in line with the agreed staffing plan, working with the Scheduler as required.
  • Manage the security team on shift, including daily rotas, roll call, shift administration, standing orders and noticeboard updates.
  • Act as Incident Commander during incidents and alarm activations, ensuring correct escalation procedures are followed.
  • Ensure full compliance with SOPs, Assignment Instructions and Risk Assessments at all times.
  • Lead on inductions, training and mentoring of new starters in conjunction with the ISS Management Team.
  • Operate and oversee control room functions, including CCTV, alarms, access control systems and incident coordination.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in a corporate security environment, including incident management and control room operations.
  • Hold a valid and appropriate SIA Licence, with experience using CCTV, access control and integrated security systems.
  • Willingness to successfully complete the required Supervisor training programme.
  • Current First Aid qualification required.
  • Physically capable of patrolling large areas and managing access points.
  • Confident, professional and customer focused when engaging with clients, visitors, staff and contractors.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, fluent in written and spoken English.
  • IT literate with the ability to produce accurate reports and operate security systems.
  • Calm, reliable and effective under pressure, with a flexible and professional approach.
  • Demonstrable experience managing incidents and emergency situations effectively.
