We are seeking an organised and proactive ED Co-Ordinator to oversee and support the day-to-day operational activities within the Emergency Department.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and supervise porters, cleaners, reception hosts, and security officers to ensure smooth daily operations and a high-quality environment for patients, visitors and clinical teams.
- Manage porter scheduling and workflows using Portzo; monitor tasks via Synapse and ServicePoint.
- Liaise with the helpdesk to log, monitor and resolve reactive tasks promptly.
- Ensure all activities comply with safety, security and service quality standards.
- Work closely with clinical teams to align operational support with patient care requirements.
- Carry out regular inspections to maintain cleanliness, safety and service standards across the Emergency Department.
- Support staff training, including customer service and security-related certifications.
- Maintain clear, effective communication with staff and external contacts to support efficient ED operations.
- Demonstrate strong leadership abilities with excellent communication skills and experience managing workflows in a fast-paced setting.
- Use systems such as Portzo, Synapse and ServicePoint to manage tasks and schedules effectively while ensuring compliance with safety, security and service standards.
Qualifications
- Strong leadership and team management skills across multi-disciplinary support roles.
- Knowledge of facilities management, ideally within a healthcare or emergency department setting.
- Proficiency in systems such as Portzo, Synapse, and ServicePoint, or willingness to be trained.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and reactive requests.
