We are seeking a skilled and motivated Chef de Partie to join our catering team, delivering high-quality food services to patients, staff, and visitors.
You will play a key role in preparing, cooking, and presenting meals to the highest standards, ensuring compliance with food hygiene regulations and company specifications.
This role also involves contributing to menu development, and maintaining a safe, clean, and efficient kitchen environment.
The Role
- Prepare, cook, and present meals in accordance with recipes, portion control, and menu specifications.
- Supervise and support junior kitchen staff, ensuring quality and consistency in all dishes.
- Plan, order, and manage food stocks efficiently, using historical data and menu cycles.
- Monitor food temperatures, presentation, and quality, maintaining accurate records.
- Ensure safe storage, stock rotation, and adherence to HACCP and other food hygiene standards.
- Maintain a clean, hygienic, and safe working environment in line with company and Trust policies.
- Uphold confidentiality, privacy, and dignity for patients, staff, and visitors.
- Participate in team meetings, training, and performance reviews, supporting continuous improvement.
About You
- Proven experience as a Chef de Partie or similar role in a healthcare, hospitality, or catering environment.
- Strong knowledge of food hygiene standards and HACCP compliance.
- Competent in supervising and mentoring kitchen staff.
- Strong organisational skills and experience managing stock and supplies.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Professional, reliable, and flexible with a commitment to high-quality food standards.
