As a Ground Helper, you will play an important role in maintaining the company’s outdoor areas to a high standard, ensuring the grounds are clean, safe, and presentable for customers, colleagues, and visitors. You will support day-to-day grounds maintenance activities and help deliver a consistent, high-quality service.
The Role
- Maintain the cleanliness and safety of all grounds, paths, pavements, and entrances
- Clear litter, weeds, brush, and debris daily
- Water flowers, plants, lawns, and turf areas as required
- Support general gardening tasks such as weeding, trimming, mulching, planting, and edging
- Assist with mowing, fertilising, seeding, and maintaining healthy grass areas
- Remove dirt from pavements and driveways
- Support special landscaping or planting projects when required
- Take care of groundskeeping tools, equipment, and supplies
- Ensure all work is carried out safely and in line with Health & Safety and manual handling procedures
- Report hazards, near misses, or maintenance issues to your supervisor or manager
- Help ensure the grounds are safe and usable for guests and visitors at all times
