The predicted salary is between 30000 - 42000 £ per year.
You will work on all aspects of AC systems, including maintenance, servicing, and small installations, with tasks such as re-gassing, compressor work, and pressure leak testing. As part of a wider FM remit, you will also take on additional building fabric tasks when required, making flexibility and adaptability key to success in this position.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM), reactive and proactive works on AC, Refrigeration, and HVAC systems within agreed timeframes.
- Inspect, repair, modify, and install refrigeration equipment including compressors, chillers, and system controls.
- Conduct regular preventive maintenance inspections and perform necessary adjustments or repairs.
- Diagnose and repair faults on systems and plant, including basic electrical fault finding.
- Repair or replace defective parts such as thermostats, switches, fan controls, valves, filters, belts, and heat exchangers.
- Undertake skilled electrical maintenance work on refrigeration equipment, motors, wiring systems, and control panels.
- Install and calibrate systems, including copper tubing, pipe repairs, and insulation.
- Provide call-out response as per the rota and complete major and minor repair works and new installations.
Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications
- Fully qualified in Air Conditioning – F-Gas certified, NVQ or City & Guilds Level 2 and Level 3.
- Ideally hold IPAF and PASMA certifications.
- Strong understanding of AC maintenance, service, and small installations.
- Flexible to carry out additional fabric and building services tasks as part of FM duties.
- Hold a full UK driving licence (regional travel required).
