We are currently recruiting experienced Fitters to support ongoing substation construction and earthing works across multiple sites in Argyll. This is an excellent opportunity to join a long-term project with consistent work available.
Location: Argyll, Scotland (Multiple Substation Projects)
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: Long Term
Hours: 10 Hours Per Day
Rate: CIS
Key Responsibilities
- Installation of below-ground earthing systems.
- Running out and installing copper tape around foundation bases.
- Cutting, cleating and securing copper tape.
- Brazing earthing tape and connections.
- Testing earthing tapes and installations.
- Installation of earthing systems within GIS halls, cable trenches and perimeter areas.
- Installing earth spurs to metal structures.
- Earthing works within GIS Battery, LVAC, Relay, Telecom, Permit and Welfare rooms.
- Working from site drawings and specifications.
- Maintaining a high standard of safety and workmanship at all times.
Requirements
- Previous experience within substations, power transmission, utilities or heavy industrial projects.
- Experience installing earthing systems and copper tape.
- Valid Shea Power Ticket.
- Valid Manual Handling Certificate.
