The Role As an Approved Electrician/Wireman, you'll support the installation, testing, maintenance, and repair of HV electrical systems across a substation project. You’ll work to industry‑leading safety standards while ensuring timely, compliant project delivery. What You’ll Be Doing ✔️Installing and maintaining HV distribution equipment, SCADA, signalling, and control systems ✔️Containment installation: tray, trunking, conduit, ladder rack ✔️Small wiring & multi‑core cable works ✔️Fault finding, diagnostics, and testing ✔️Completing installation reports, test certs & daily records ✔️Reading and interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and specifications ✔️Using and maintaining HV tools and test equipment safely ✔️Working collaboratively with project managers, engineers, and operatives What You Need ✔️ JIB Graded Electrician – Approved Electrician (2391 essential) ✔️ 18th Edition (BS 7671) ✔️ Proven HV substation experience ✔️ Strong knowledge of site safety and HV standards ✔️ Confident reading technical drawings and wiring diagrams ✔️ Experience in testing & inspection If you are available for immediate work, please reach out to Amy Naden at ISS a . n a d e n @ i s s - l t d . c o . u k
