We are supporting a major energy infrastructure contractor in appointing an experienced Civils Construction Manager to support the delivery of Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects across the Dunblane and Kilwinning areas. Support for accommodation in the Glasgow area will be provided where required, alongside mileage expenses between sites.

This is a hands-on self-delivery Construction Manager role overseeing civils delivery across live BESS construction projects with a strong future pipeline of work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage day-to-day delivery of BESS civils works across multiple sites.
  • Oversee excavation, drainage, foundations, cable containment, fencing and surfacing works.
  • Produce box plans, short-term programmes and 4-week lookaheads.
  • Manage labour, plant and material forecasting requirements.
  • Coordinate General Foremen, subcontractors and self-delivery site teams.
  • Drive programme performance and manage delivery against project milestones.
  • Support sequencing, logistics and traffic management coordination.
  • Ensure compliance with RAMS, permits, safety and quality standards.
  • Manage site reporting, planning and delivery documentation.
Experience Required
  • Strong background within civils, utilities or infrastructure delivery environments.
  • Experience delivering drainage, foundations, buried routes or utility infrastructure works.
  • Previous experience within BESS, substations, ICP, rail civils, power or energy infrastructure advantageous.
  • Strong understanding of self-delivery construction environments.
  • Experience producing lookaheads, resource plans and delivery programmes.
  • Comfortable managing multiple concurrent projects and site teams.

  • IOSH / NEBOSH advantageous
