We are supporting a major energy infrastructure contractor in appointing an experienced Civils Construction Manager to support the delivery of Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) and ICP infrastructure projects across the Luton and Eggborough areas. There will be supported travel expenses for mileage and accommodation between sites. This is a hands-on self-delivery Construction Manager role focused on civils delivery, planning, coordination and programme management across multiple concurrent projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day delivery of BESS civils and ICP infrastructure works.
  • Oversee excavation, drainage, foundations, cable containment and finishing works.
  • Produce box plans, short-term programmes and 4-week lookaheads.
  • Manage labour, plant and material requirements across multiple schemes.
  • Coordinate General Foremen, subcontractors and self-delivery site teams.
  • Monitor programme performance and drive works against project constraints.
  • Support traffic management, sequencing and interface coordination.
  • Ensure compliance with RAMS, permits, safety and quality standards.
  • Manage site documentation, reporting and delivery planning activities.

Experience Required

  • Strong background within self-delivery civils, utilities or infrastructure projects.
  • Experience delivering projects involving drainage, foundations, buried routes or utility infrastructure.
  • Previous experience within BESS, Rail civils or energy infrastructure advantageous.
  • Experience managing multiple concurrent schemes desirable.
  • Strong understanding of short-term planning, lookaheads and resource forecasting.
  • Comfortable working within lean delivery teams and hands-on project environments.

  • Temporary Works awareness advantageous
  • IOSH / NEBOSH advantageous
