ISS, a leading provider of facilities services in the UK, is looking for a dedicated Water Treatment Engineer to join our team and play a key role in helping ISS deliver exceptional service performance, empowering our people, and supporting our clients’ purpose. This is a varied and rewarding role with clear progression opportunities, as well as the benefit of a company van.
As Water Treatment Engineer, you will be responsible for carrying out a wide range of planned maintenance and servicing activities to ensure our clients remain compliant with L8 ACOP legislation. Working across both commercial and domestic water systems of varying complexity, you'll play a vital role in supporting safe and efficient water hygiene practices. Key Responsibilities
- Promote and enforce the highest standards of health, safety, and compliance across all activities
- Carry out inspections, maintenance, testing, and repairs on water systems in line with plumbing codes and manufacturer guidelines
- Complete reactive disinfection procedures and standard PPM monitoring tasks as directed by the CAFM system or management
- Provide accurate certification and detailed reports for all completed tasks and small works
- Advise on service delivery improvements and participate in technical meetings and forums
- Manage time effectively, prioritising tasks and demonstrating urgency where required
- Take ownership of work, maintaining professionalism, integrity, and respect for colleagues and clients
Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications
- Relevant plumbing qualification to NVQ/SVQ Level 2 or equivalent, with unvented certification desirable
- Proven experience managing microbiological risks and disinfections in domestic and commercial water systems
- Strong understanding and experience with water regulations and their practical application
- Confident using IT software across various programmes to support work and reporting
- Experience in multi-disciplinary technical environments, including critical environments preferred
- Full UK driving licence essential for travel between sites
