We are looking for an experienced and proactive Sector Supervisor to lead frontline cleaning teams and ensure the consistent delivery of high-quality services across a designated area. As the Sector Supervisor, you will oversee the day-to-day management of frontline cleaning operatives, ensuring service level agreements are achieved and operational standards are maintained. Working closely with management teams, clients, and operational colleagues, you will coordinate planned and reactive cleaning activities, manage resources effectively, and support the ongoing development of your team. The role requires a strong focus on customer service, compliance, and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and support frontline cleaning teams to ensure high standards of service delivery.
  • Manage day-to-day operational activities across a designated area.
  • Complete regular site inspections and quality checks to maintain service standards.
  • Respond to reactive and emergency cleaning requests as required.
  • Coordinate periodic cleaning activities, including deep cleaning and carpet cleaning programmes.
  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, security procedures, company policies, and operational standards.
  • Monitor staffing levels, attendance, and absence reporting.
  • Manage consumable stock levels and ensure materials are available across all sites.
  • Ensure cleaning stores and equipment areas remain organised and compliant.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with customers, colleagues, and stakeholders.
  • Promote employee engagement, motivation, and high team morale.
  • Ensure service delivery meets agreed performance standards and contractual requirements.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and performance support to frontline employees.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of one year's experience in a supervisory or management role within cleaning, facilities management, soft services, or a similar environment.
  • Experience leading and supporting frontline operational teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to prioritise workloads and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Flexible, adaptable, and proactive approach to work.
  • Ability to build effective working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders at all levels.
  • Good understanding of service delivery standards and operational compliance requirements.
