Overview
We\’re looking for a passionate and knowledgeable Nutritionist to lead the development and delivery of our Health & Well-being proposition within the Defence sector. As the subject matter expert (SME) in nutrition and wellness, you\’ll play a key role in shaping our food and beverage offer—ensuring it meets Defence segment specifications while aligning with ISS\’s market-leading standards in health, wellness, and innovation. This is an exciting opportunity to combine your expertise in nutrition with creativity, collaboration, and commercial awareness to design solutions that truly make a difference.
In this role, you\’ll take ownership of developing, delivering, and promoting ISS\’s health and well-being strategy for Defence. Working closely with culinary, marketing, and operational teams, you\’ll ensure every element of our food and beverage offer supports the nutritional, performance, and wellness needs of our customers. You\’ll contribute to bid development, provide expert nutritional guidance, and monitor programme performance—helping ISS deliver innovative, people-centric, and commercially viable wellness solutions.
Responsibilities
- Lead the creation of a compelling, evidence-based health & well-being proposition tailored to Defence needs.
- Collaborate with culinary and marketing teams to align nutrition, menu development, and communications.
- Provide nutritional expertise in bid responses, ensuring compliance with Defence health standards.
- Guide ingredient selection, portioning, and presentation to meet wellness goals.
- Support the translation of wellness strategies into engaging marketing and customer materials.
- Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate programme success.
- Maintain strong cross-functional relationships with stakeholders across ISS.
- Act as the go-to expert for nutrition and wellbeing, providing practical guidance and insight.
Qualifications
- Degree-qualified in Nutrition (BSc or equivalent).
- Registered Nutritionist or Dietitian (ANutr, RNutr, or RD).
- Experience working collaboratively with culinary and marketing teams.
- Strong understanding of consumer and market trends.
- Creative thinker with a passion for food and innovation.
- Self-motivated, with excellent communication and influencing skills.
- Knowledge of food retail or high-street environments desirable.
- Background in sports science advantageous.
