You will adhere to engineering standards and the requirements of the Health and Safety at Work Act (HASAWA), maintaining accurate records and documentation associated with PPM and plant operations.

Job Description

Your role will include responding promptly to all electrical and mechanical reactive maintenance issues and Helpdesk requests, conducting technical surveys, and reporting findings to the Supervisor.

The role focuses primarily on 4PP with some work at Heron House, Spinningfields, and minor support at Wythenshaw. Most work is planned in advance, but flexibility is required regarding site presence.

On-call duties are required on a 1-in-2 rota, though this occurs infrequently.

Key Responsibilities

* Respond promptly to reactive electrical and mechanical maintenance issues, including fault diagnosis and repair, and efficiently manage Helpdesk requests.

* Carry out PPM in accordance with set schedules, maintaining engineering standards and compliance with quality and safety regulations.

* Conduct technical surveys and provide detailed reports to inform maintenance and improvement plans.

* Coordinate client requests and manage sub-contractors to ensure work meets high-quality standards.

* Maintain tools and equipment to ensure efficient operations.

* Provide cover at other sites as needed to maintain continuous service.

* Escort sub-contractors and support training for LV AP duties (UPS and generators).

* Maintain accurate records, documentation, and PPM system entries.

* Comply with all company procedures, client requirements, and contractual obligations.

Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications

* City & Guilds Parts 1 and 2 (Electrical Installation 2360) or recognised equivalent.

* 18th Edition IEE Registration or recognised equivalent.

* City & Guilds Part 3 (Electrical Installation 2360) or recognised equivalent.

* Prior experience with Building Management Systems.

* Experience with computerised PPM management systems.

* Knowledge of current Health and Safety legislation relevant to safe working practices.

* Proven experience in similar maintenance duties including fault diagnosis and rectification.

* Enthusiastic, flexible, and able to work effectively across multiple sites.
