We are seeking an experienced and technically skilled Engineering AP to provide subject matter expertise, support, and additional resource to supplement the BAU Engineering teams. This role is critical in ensuring the smooth integration of ongoing project works with operational teams, minimising disruption and maintaining high standards of service delivery.
The successful candidate will work closely with BAU teams, the Project Integration Manager, and professional project management teams to deliver a best-in-class operation. You will drive clarity, consistency, compliance, and transparency across all deliverables, ensuring adherence to engineering standards and health and safety requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day interactions between project teams and BAU site teams, including Permit to Work and Optima Critical Process.
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with BAU teams, campus facilities teams, and project stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with engineering standards and Health and Safety at Work Act (HASAWA) requirements, including ISS Safe Systems of Work (SSOW).
- Maintain accurate records and update documentation in line with onsite Quality Assurance procedures.
- Deputise for the Project Integration Manager and CEM as required.
- Attend site meetings and provide reports on work and equipment as necessary.
- Enforce governance set out in the OPTIMA Critical manual and promote its embedment.
- Complete incident reporting and escalation in accordance with ISS processes and timelines.
- Undertake training, reviews, and assessments to maintain standards and progress to higher grades.
Professional and Personal Competencies / Qualifications
- Experience working within the FM sector, including PPMS and reactive maintenance works.
- Fully electrically qualified - 18th Edition, C&G or NVQ Electrical Installations.
- Additional trade or electrical qualifications would be beneficial.
- Ideally suited for someone with electrical maintenance experience seeking their first step into a more senior role.
- Must hold a valid UK driving licence - required for travel to site in Manchester.
