Job Description
The Fire Door Inspector/Maintainer will conduct fire door surveys, remedial works, and installations to the highest standard, following the BM Trada Q-Mark scheme. This role covers a variety of client properties throughout the designated region. Emphasising world‑class building services maintenance, you will ensure that all fire door‑related tasks are performed with precision and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsibility for Fire Door PPM, remedial repairs and installation works issued through the helpdesk within set time frames so that the customer expectations are exceeded
- Provide accurate remedial quotations
- Occasionally assist with other carpentry/joinery works as instructed
- Ensure that all Fire Doors operate to specified performance criteria
- Provide a professional service and represent the company in a way which ensures customer satisfaction
- Take a pro‑active approach to client liaison and ensure that concerns are dealt with or relayed to management as necessary
Professional and Personal Competencies / Qualifications
- NVQ/City & Guilds in carpentry or woodworking or related trade qualification
- Time served carpentry and joinery experience
- Applicants who have served a recognised craft apprenticeship will be preferred
- Must be IT literate
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Significant experience in Fire Door Surveys, door maintenance and door set installations/replacements
- Significant previous experience in providing PPM building services maintenance
