We are seeking a hands-on Fabric Supervisor to lead a small, experienced team in delivering high-quality fabric maintenance services. This role is predominantly practical, with most of your time spent on the tools and walking the site to ensure planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive works are completed to the highest standards.

You will be responsible for supervising a team of 6–7 members, supporting them with day-to-day tasks, and ensuring adherence to engineering standards and Health & Safety regulations. Reporting to the Fabric Manager, you will lead by example, maintain excellent service delivery, and take a proactive approach to client liaison and contractor management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and support a team of 6–7 fabric engineers, ensuring high standards of work and compliance with Health & Safety regulations.
  • Carry out hands‑on PPM and reactive maintenance tasks, including painting, decorating, and general DIY repairs.
  • Monitor and manage contractor activities, ensuring workmanship meets agreed standards.
  • Ensure all equipment and surrounding areas operate and conform to company standards.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation in line with Quality Assurance procedures.
  • Prioritise and manage workload effectively, ensuring tasks are completed within agreed timeframes.
  • Utilise the CAFM system efficiently, following all required procedures.
  • Liaise daily with the Fabric Manager, providing updates and escalating issues as necessary.
Professional and Personal Competencies / Qualifications
  • Must have experience supervising a small team and leading by example.
  • Strong practical skills with a good level of DIY ability, including tasks such as lock replacements, flooring repairs, and painting.
  • Willing to work hands‑on and actively participate in PPMs and reactive works.
  • Ideally from a facilities management (FM) background with a flexible, can‑do attitude.
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety regulations, risk assessments, and COSHH compliance.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills, with a proactive approach to problem‑solving.
