The purpose of this role is to help ISS become the worldβs greatest service organisation by providing service performance facilitating our customersβ purpose through people empowerment. The aim is to always provide a world-class and consistent building maintenance service for our stakeholders. Job Description The technician in this role will provide Air Con/Refrigeration and building maintenance services to a client property(s) throughout the designated regions. This will include, but not limited to, fault finding, repairs, maintenance, and installations on the client site(s). Key Responsibilities β Responsibility for AC, Refrigeration and HVAC bias PPM, proactive and reactive works issued through the helpdesk within set time frames so that the customer expectations are exceeded. β Inspect, repair, modify and install Refrigeration equipment including refrigeration and air conditioning compressors, chillers, commercial and retail refrigeration, and refrigeration system controls β Conduct regular preventive maintenance inspections of refrigeration units and make necessary adjustments or repairs. β Repair or replace defective parts in units and equipment and their controls, including thermostats, automatic switches, fan controls, log switches, damper motors, louvers, relays, filters, controls, belts, compressors, heat exchangers, high limit controls, pressure controls, safety valves, and automatic gas valves. ? β Repair and rebuild semi-hermetic reciprocating compressors and compressors for centrifugal refrigeration machines. ? Perform skilled electrical maintenance work in the repair, installation and alteration of Refrigeration equipment, components, timers, motors and wiring systems as needed; connect motors to control panels. ? β Lubricate and pack refrigeration, and air-conditioning motors, pumps, fans, and other equipment. ? β Install and calibrate systems; install copper tubing and repair pipes and tubing as necessary; test joints and insulate pipes of refrigeration and air conditioning systems. ? β Install, rebuild, replace, or repair fans, motors, thermostats, fuses, filters, bearings, valves, controls, gaskets and other equipment, as necessary. β Responsibility for other types of building services maintenance to include fabric, HVAC, mechanical and related tasks. β To provide callout response for the client as detailed on the callout rota. Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications City and Guilds 2079 Safe Handling of Refrigerants or CITB J11 Equivalent AND NVQ 2/3 or City & Guilds in Commercial Refrigeration and AC Systems OR NVQ2/3 or City & Guilds in Heating and Ventilation OR NVQ2/3 or City & Guilds in Heating and Ventilation Service & Maintenance IPAF / PASMA Full UK Driving License. Applicants with electrical qualifications will be preferred. Experience Significant experience in providing air conditioning/refrigeration or HVAC related building services maintenance to include fault finding, maintenance and installation. Significant previous experience in providing reactive and PPM building services maintenance. Experience of working within FM or building services within commercial properties. Experience of working under strict Health & Safety procedures including risk assessments and method statements.
