Overview
ISS is proud to support Velux UK at their Glenrothes head office. We’re looking for a Facilities Management / Workplace Coordinator to join the team on a full-time basis at Velux’s site. This role plays a vital part in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operations of the workplace, focusing on managing housekeeping teams and overseeing maintenance activities to maintain a safe, clean, and efficient environment.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate housekeeping teams to maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and compliance.
- Manage reactive maintenance requests and Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) schedules, ensuring timely and effective completion.
- Carry out minor repairs and general handyman tasks as needed.
- Liaise with contractors and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth facilities operations, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and building fabric maintenance.
- Monitor facilities budgets to ensure cost-effective service delivery.
- Conduct regular health and safety risk assessments and provide team training to maintain compliance.
- Serve as the main point of contact for all facility-related matters across the site.
- Prepare regular reports on housekeeping, maintenance activities, and health & safety performance.
Qualifications
- Experienced in facilities management, with a particular focus on housekeeping and hard services coordination.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills.
- Knowledgeable about health and safety regulations and PPM scheduling.
- Comfortable using facilities management software and basic building system knowledge.
- IOSH or NEBOSH certification is desirable but not essential.
Working Conditions
- Full-time role based at the Velux Glenrothes site.
- Flexibility in working hours may be required for urgent or out-of-hours maintenance issues.
