Here at ISS, as one of the UK’s leading Facilities Management (FM) providers, we are looking to recruit a Technical Services Manager to lead the M&E + Fabric maintenance function delivered against the end client’s key R&D Campus site in Weybridge/Addlestone. The client is a major Government organisation dedicated to Agriculture and Scientific R&D for purposes of public health. The site is a multi-acre, multi-building development, including offices, farms, labs and more spread across leafy Surrey countryside.
As the Technical Manager, you will oversee engineering delivered by Shift Engineering teams who operate on a 24/7 basis, working to a PPM regime and providing reactive repairs. Reporting into the Site Lead, this role is a key operational position within the Account leadership team, as the face of the day-to-day engineering operation. You will implement the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of site maintenance activities.
You will be leading interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; addressing complaints and resolving problems. This is a fantastic role for an established Facilities Technical Leader, joining a world-class site, working for a leading FM provider on a key account.
Actions will include:
- To oversee the BMS building services and Controls Systems of Buildings
- Manage the technical shift team and contractors to ensure all PPM’s and reactive works are completed in line with SLA’s and KPI’s
- Provide technical reports and evaluation of assets and systems on the customers' sites
- Review and evaluate performance and ensure quality standards are being met
- Support daily update meetings with customer
- Support the Asset Manager by ensuring the team provides the correct documentation and uploads to the CAFM system
- Maintain a risk register for areas of responsibilities and support the wider risk management and mitigation
- Take corrective action to resolve problems
- Understand the Owner’s building operations rules for the building(s) under care and as provided by the Account Director
- Make task assignments as needed for Work Tickets and Preventative Maintenance Work Orders for the O&M Team
- Ensure staff complete PM’s and work orders as scheduled each month
- Ensure the Operations & Maintenance Documents (Documents Library) of Drawings, O&M manuals, Site Operators Manual, etc. are up to date and neatly stored and easily and readily retrievable
- Review, edit and maintain SOPS/MOPS/EOPS as appropriate for site operations
