Here at ISS, as one of the UK's leading Facilities Management (FM) providers, we are looking to recruit an Electrical Expert to join our major Healthcare Account in East Kilbride. The site is a major Hospital Trust, with large and smaller buildings, accommodating plentiful electrical distribution systems and also critical systems, Generators, UPS etc.
Working with our Electrical team, and wider Account stakeholders you will be the Electrical Authority on site, taking ownership of the maintenance programme, in house and contractor delivery, Small Projects and Fixed Wire Testing. This will fall across both LV and HV, so we are looking for someone who is/recently has been AP in both. In short, you will be the Electrical lead on site, working with credibility and authority internally and to the end client. This is a fantastic role for an Electrical expert to develop their career in a leadership role.
Actions will include:
- Ensuring the results of the verification process are accurately recorded on the appropriate certificates or inspection report
- Undertaking management duties of Technical Placemakers to ensure they are competent and adequately supervised
- To undertake Contractor control duties on behalf of the client, including monitoring of Contractors and their workmanship, so that relevant standards are met.
- Issue of Permits to Work.
- Perform management functions common to a facility maintenance and utility plant operations organization
- Review and evaluate performance and ensure quality standards are being met
- Take corrective action to resolve problems
- Understand the Owner’s building operations rules for the building(s) under care and as provided by the Head of Maintenance and Key Account director.
- Work with Facility Manager to ensure efficient utilization of staff
- Make Task assignments as needed for Work Tickets and Preventative Maintenance Work Orders for the O&M Team
- Solve problems within procedural limitations
- Ensure staff complete PPM’s and Work Orders as scheduled each month
- Ensure the Operations & Maintenance Documents (Documents Library) of Drawings, Manuals, Operational Procedures Manuals (HV & LV), Site Operators Manual, etc. are up to date and neatly stored and easily and readily retrievable
