We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Training Manager to ensure all colleagues receive timely, high-quality training that equips them with the skills and confidence needed to perform their roles effectively. This role plays a key part in supporting operational excellence by identifying training needs, coordinating development plans, and enhancing the overall training provision across all sites.
We are looking for someone who can build strong partnerships with managers, Trust representatives, and wider hospital teams to deliver consistent, engaging, and compliant learning experiences. The Training Manager will ensure training records are accurately maintained in the Learning Management System and will lead the coordination of refresher, mandatory, and development training across the service.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Monitor and review training compliance across all service lines.
- Collaborate with operational teams to identify training needs for each hospital department.
- Coordinate and schedule training sessions, including mandatory and leadership development courses.
- Deliver a range of training sessions to frontline and management staff.
- Administer apprenticeship programmes delivered by external providers.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance within the Learning Management System.
- Schedule and manage refresher training to support ongoing compliance.
- Lead monthly Training Community calls with colleagues across 30 hospitals to share best practices.
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience in a Training Manager role.
- Strong track record of designing, delivering, and managing end-to-end learning programmes.
- Confident in using KPIs and SLAs for reporting and driving continuous improvement.
- Skilled user of Learning Management Systems (LMS) and digital learning platforms.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to motivate, influence, and engage learners at all levels.
- Strong active listening skills and the ability to present concepts clearly and effectively.
