We are recruiting a Food Services Dietitian with desired clinical oncology experience to support one of our acute healthcare facilities in the UK. This role is ideal for a registered dietitian who is passionate about nutrition, committed to service excellence, and motivated to make a positive impact on patient care. Whilst oncology experience is preferred, training in food services can be provided.
The Role
- Collaborate with catering/dietetic teams across sites to deliver safe, nutritious, and enjoyable meals for all patients.
- Develop and implement tailored menus, including support for special diets and allergen management.
- Implementation of the ISS patient food service and dietetic policies and procedures.
- Support the implementation of training content and sessions for catering and ward assistants’ staff in consultation with the trust dietitians and the wider ISS dietetic team.
- Involvement in the Dietetic & Nutrition team projects as required i.e., initiatives/health promotion activities, gathering data on products.
- Provide an update at ISS dietetic and nutrition team meetings and report on key responsibilities/actions/positives and issues.
- Contribute to patient engagement activities such as Nutrition & Hydration Week and themed events.
- Maintain accurate documentation, support audits, and participate in continuous service improvement.
- Continue to progress professional development and maintain a CPD portfolio should this be required for HCPC audit.
- Any other duties as deemed necessary in relation to the ISS Dietetics and nutrition.
Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications
- Degree in Dietetics or relevant degree with Diploma in Dietetics.
- HCPC Registered Dietitian.
- Food Safety qualification at a minimum of level 3 (can be taught by ISS).
- Member of the British Dietetic Association.
