We are seeking a strategic, process-driven Transition Mobilisation Director to lead the seamless mobilisation of large, complex FM contracts. This role requires a confident senior leader who can partner closely with Commercial, Central, and Operations teams to translate bid activity, customer engagement, and contract requirements into a clear, actionable mobilisation strategy.
We are looking for an experienced professional who can operate effectively in a matrix environment, provide high-level stakeholder oversight, and ensure the full mobilisation programme is delivered to quality, time, and budget. This role also has a strong commercial dimension, supporting bid shaping, securing work, and showcasing ISS capabilities.
Key Responsibilities- Work with UK Commercial, Operations, and the Bid Transition Director to build a Mobilisation Plan aligned with contract requirements and ISS delivery methodology.
- Build and lead the Transition Team in partnership with the UK&I Transition Director, ensuring effective coordination across central teams, SMEs, and operational leads.
- Lead Project Leads in delivering large new or retained contracts in line with the ISS Transition Process Framework (TPM) and governance standards.
- Provide regular progress updates to Operations Key Account Portfolio Directors, ISS Senior Leaders, and the UK Board.
- Ensure consistent and correct use of the TPM across all projects, updating plans to meet customer needs, ISS requirements, and agreed objectives.
- Allocate resources appropriately to ensure daily project tasks and workstream commitments are met.
- Build strong internal and client relationships, ensuring the right ISS workstream owners contribute to delivery.
- Maintain effective stakeholder management, establishing clear communication and escalation routes for each project.
- Monitor progress and make necessary adjustments to ensure project goals are achieved.
- Produce accurate, timely reports for sponsors and stakeholders, including RAID logs.
- Keep all programme documentation updated and coordinate evidence of delivery across workstreams.
- Manage seamless handover to operations and client receiving teams, and ensure effective project closure with lessons learned captured.
- Significant programme or project management experience - gained within the FM industry.
- Degree-level education or relevant qualification (e.g., PMP, Prince2 Practitioner) or equivalent experience.
- Proficiency with project management tools such as MS Project, MS Project Online, or Monday.com.
- Strong understanding of commercial contracts.
- Skilled in building stakeholder relationships and acting as a trusted advisor.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical, reporting, and presentation capability.
- Advanced MS Office skills, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- Ability to think strategically and understand wider programme impact.
- Proven track record of strong professional relationship-building and team collaboration.
- Positive, proactive approach to delivering results and driving continuous learning.
- Fluent in English; additional languages beneficial.
- Experience working in multicultural, matrix environments with multiple reporting lines.
