We’re looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join our Projects Commercial Team and provide commercial support from pre-construction through to final handover. Working on a high-profile government agency project focused on the environment and rural affairs, this role is ideal for someone passionate about sustainability.

As Quantity Surveyor, you’ll manage contract administration under an NEC4 Option A FMC contract, under an X27 Project Framework - including variation control, fee proposals, and cash flow management. You’ll also support commercial reporting, risk mitigation and governance using tools like Monday.com.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify commercial opportunities and collaborate with operational teams
  • Contribute to tender analysis and bid settlements
  • Monitor and report on commercial performance
  • Support monthly governance with accurate reporting
  • Ensure accuracy in all commercial documentation and communication
  • Promote best practices in commercial management
  • Administer FastDraft processes for CEs and EWNs
  • Control variations and ensure contract compliance
What We’re Looking For
  • Degree or HND in Quantity Surveying or a relevant commercial discipline
  • 3-5 years post qualification experience within the commercial environment of Construction (preferably in government sector)
  • Excellent knowledge of construction contracts (both in writing and administering)
  • Demonstrable experience of taking a project from Concept through to Full Design Stage and final approval to proceed driving best value for both the customer and ISS
  • Strong understanding of value engineering and delivering best value outcomes
  • Skilled in project cost estimating and tender submissions
  • Proficient in Monday.com, CEMAR/FastDraft, and MS Office
  • Strong track record of performance in deadline-driven environments
  • Willingness to travel as needed
  • Ability to obtain BPSS clearance.
