As a Menu & Recipe Development Assistant, you will collaborate closely with our Development Chefs and Nutrition Team to design creative food solutions, menus, and trend-forward concepts that help us maintain a competitive edge.
In this role, you will manage our robust menu and recipe development processes, databases, and systems, ensuring compliance with all legislative requirements and standards while prioritising the safety of our customers and placemakers.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a role model within the Food Development Team, demonstrating exemplary behaviours.
- Oversee the menu and recipe development process, continuously identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Collaborate with the Nutrition Team, Development Chefs, and Supplier Relationship Manager to ensure all menus and recipes are compliant and industry-leading.
- Manage recipe testing, ensuring all recipes are tested at an operational scale before finalisation.
- Oversee the Saffron data management process, proofreading and validating recipes and maintaining accurate product listings and permissions.
- Support the Nutrition Team in developing special diet menus, ensuring kitchen teams have accurate product, recipe, and allergen information.
- Work with Communications, Marketing, and Development Chef Teams to create menus for special events and themed days to increase uptake.
- Collaborate with Sales and Business Development Teams to develop menus for bids and sales opportunities.
- Assist the Supplier Relationship Manager with APL list reviews and procurement specifications.
