Job Description
As an Electrical Engineer, you will carry out fault finding, repairs, maintenance, and installations with an electrical bias, ensuring all work is completed to the highest standards.
The focus is on delivering a world-class building services maintenance service, supporting clients with safe, reliable, and efficient solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver electrical PPM, reactive and proactive maintenance, ensuring all tasks are completed within agreed timeframes and exceed customer expectations.
- Carry out electrical fault-finding, repairs, installations and general building services maintenance including fabric, HVAC and mechanical tasks.
- Provide call-out response as part of the agreed rota, maintaining a professional service at all times.
- Act as contractor controller on behalf of the client, including monitoring standards of work and issuing Permits to Work.
- Ensure all electrical equipment and associated systems operate to required performance criteria and safety standards.
- Maintain site areas and equipment in line with agreed company and client standards.
- Represent the company professionally, promoting excellent customer service and client satisfaction.
Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications
- Significant experience in delivering both reactive and planned preventative maintenance (PPM) within building services.
- Hold City & Guilds 2230 Level 3, NVQ 2356/2357, or City & Guilds 2330 Level 3 in Electrical Installation, plus AM1/AM2 and 18th Edition IEE Wiring Regulations.
- Preferably time-served apprenticeship with additional qualifications such as City & Guilds 2394/2395 Inspection &
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Strong knowledge of FM and building services within commercial properties.
- Ability to work independently and flexibly across multiple sites, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills, with a professional and reliable manner.
