We are seeking an experienced and service-focused Private Patient Manager to support the Key Account Manager in providing strategic direction across FRC’s private patient units. This role has responsibility for overseeing all private patient services, ensuring operations run smoothly, efficiently, and to the highest standards.
The Private Patient Manager will play a key role in delivering an exceptional experience for patients, staff, and visitors, maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment. You will lead and develop teams, uphold rigorous standards of hygiene, safety, and presentation, and ensure that high-quality patient care remains the priority at all times.
Key Responsibilities- Manage staffing levels and competence across the entire private patient service
- Oversee the effective day-to-day operations of private patient and reception services
- Ensure the private patient service is delivered in line with agreed staffing levels, work schedules, and safe methods of work
- Take responsibility for the production and delivery of a high-quality, safe food service for patients, staff, and visitors, including awareness of dietary requirements
- Ensure confidentiality, privacy, and dignity are maintained at all times
- Organise and deliver role-specific training to support new and existing staff and ensure competence across all service areas
- Participate in regular management team meetings, contributing to service planning and development
- Produce and deliver the monthly performance report for the private patient service
- Ensure employees maintain a clean, professional appearance in line with private patient uniform policies, hand care guidelines, and personal hygiene standards
- Respond proactively to service needs and continuously seek to improve productivity and service quality
- Work closely with the catering team to support effective menu development and merchandising
- Ensure all work is undertaken in line with health, safety, security, infection control, and Trust policies and procedures
- Proven experience leading and managing teams in a service-led environment
- Ability to review current processes, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement change
- Experience managing budgets and financial planning to ensure service profitability
- Strong understanding of the operational and service expectations within private patient wards
- Excellent organisational and communication skills, with a strong focus on patient experience
