Working closely with onsite catering teams, ISS management, and Trust dietitians, the role supports the delivery of safe, nutritious, and appealing meals that enhance patient care and satisfaction.

The Catering Dietitian will drive continuous improvements, promote best practices, and support staff training to meet evolving patient needs and organisational goals. By fostering strong partnerships with all stakeholders, the role helps create a positive food environment that contributes to patient wellbeing and recovery.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead menu planning and review for both therapeutic and standard menus, ensuring compliance with nutritional guidelines and organisational policies.
- Liaise effectively with onsite catering teams, Trust dietitians, and ISS management to communicate updates, resolve issues, and support service improvements.
- Coordinate and drive Catering Operations meetings, engaging key stakeholders and ensuring actions are followed through.
- Implement ISS patient catering and dietetics policies, ensuring adherence to standards such as the Great Food and Beverage Services Guide.
- Conduct nutritional analysis and dietary coding using software such as Saffron to support menu development and compliance.
- Support training and education initiatives for catering staff to promote best practice in patient nutrition and food safety.
- Manage projects related to patient catering enhancements, balancing priorities to meet deadlines.
Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications
- Qualified and HCPC-registered Dietitian with experience in clinical and foodservice settings.
- Strong knowledge of nutritional analysis, patient catering standards, and cleaning processes.
- Excellent communicator, confident engaging with catering teams, clinical staff, and other stakeholders.
- Firm but fair leadership style with strong people management skills.
- Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Commercially aware and able to work independently or as part of a team.
