We are seeking a highly organised and experienced Lifecycle & Small Works Manager to oversee all aspects of project management within a healthcare environment. This role involves managing projects from inception to completion, ensuring full compliance with health and safety legislation, robust financial control, and the delivery of high‑quality services.
In this role, you will liaise with design teams, compile quotes, update additional works logs, procure subcontractors and materials, approve RAMS, and manage all variation and life cycle work. Additionally, you will provide advice and support to ISS Service Managers, SPV, and Trust staff, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities- Drive end‑to‑end delivery of Variation and Life Cycle projects within a healthcare environment.
- Ensure strict compliance with Health & Safety legislation, CDM regulations, and all relevant HTMs.
- Take ownership of financial control — budgeting, forecasting, and highlighting cost pressures.
- Lead design team collaboration, manage quotes, and deliver high‑quality contract variations and life cycle works.
- Keep documentation tight and accurate, including monthly forecasts and purchasing records.
- Guarantee timely project delivery and set up planned maintenance for new assets within CAFM systems.
- Build strong, proactive relationships with Service Managers, client reps, and other key stakeholders.
- Act as the Authorised Person for designated disciplines, ensuring full statutory compliance for Hard FM services.
- Demonstrable experience in technical building services.
- Mechanical or Electrical background with a recognised qualification (C&G Level 3 / NVQ or equivalent).
- Solid understanding of commercial M&E systems.
- Confident user of CAFM and Permit‑to‑Work systems.
- Strong track record in subcontractor management.
- A self‑starter who thrives on solving problems.
- Safety‑focused and compliance‑driven mindset.
- Professional, proactive, organised, and resilient under pressure.
- Excellent communicator who can clearly articulate solutions and recovery plans.
