Based on a vibrant and well-equipped campus, this role offers long-term stability following a recently signed five-year contract extension. With a major engineering refurbishment currently underway, it’s an exciting time to join and contribute to the site’s ongoing transformation. You’ll be part of a team that supports a high-performing, mission-critical environment - ideal for someone who values quality engineering, site reliability, and continuous improvement.

As an Electrical Shift Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring that all electrical systems and equipment on site remain compliant, fully operational, and resilient. Your responsibilities will include performing regular maintenance, diagnosing and repairing faults, and escalating issues as needed to safeguard the functionality of the site’s critical engineering assets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) as scheduled
  • Respond promptly and effectively to engineering-related reactive maintenance and help desk requests
  • Coordinate and manage specialist subcontractors for PPM and reactive tasks
  • Perform fault finding and diagnosis for maintenance issues
  • Provide relevant reports on work completed and equipment status

Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications

  • Qualified electrical engineer to current standards
  • Experience in maintenance roles within similar environments, ideally FMCG
  • Familiar with Air Source and/or Water Source Heat Pump systems
  • Knowledge of UPS systems, generators, and power distribution
  • Strong technical aptitude and adaptability
  • Ability to perform under pressure and work independently or as part of a team
