The Mobile Gas Engineer is responsible for the maintenance, repair, and installation of commercial gas and HVAC systems across a range of client sites.

Operating in a mobile capacity, the role involves responding to both reactive and planned maintenance tasks, ensuring that all systems are operating safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with relevant regulations and performance standards. With a strong focus on fault diagnosis and problem-solving, the Gas Engineer will work to minimise downtime, maintain high levels of client satisfaction, and contribute to the overall quality and reliability of building services. The role demands a commitment to health and safety, technical excellence, and a proactive approach to service delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform commercial combustion, heating, and HVAC-biased PPM, reactive and proactive maintenance within SLA
  • Handle additional building services maintenance including HVAC, mechanical, and fabric tasks
  • Participate in callout rota as per client requirements
  • Maintain cleanliness in plant rooms, workshops, and storage areas
  • Carry out heating system installations and repairs, including basic electrical fault finding
  • Oversee and monitor contractors, issuing Permits to Work to ensure standards are met
  • Ensure heating equipment performs to required specifications and meets site standards
  • Represent the company professionally to maintain high customer satisfaction
Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications
  • Commercial Gas & HVAC qualifications (COCN1, CCN1, TPCP1A)
  • NVQ Level 2/3 in Plumbing or similar
  • Gas Safe Registered, Full UK Driving Licence
  • Proven experience in commercial FM/building services
