As the Commercial Gas Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality commercial gas, heating, combustion, and building services engineering maintenance across various client properties. This is a mobile role covering the following postcodes: DL/DH/SR/TS/LA.

In this role, your duties will involve fault finding, repairs, servicing, and installation of commercial and domestic gas systems, as well as HVAC systems. Your focus will be on providing a world-class maintenance service, ensuring the efficient operation and safety of all systems under your care. Key Responsibilities
  • Responsibility for commercial combustion, heating and HVAC bias PPM, proactive and reactive works issued through the helpdesk within set time frames so that the customer expectations are exceeded.
  • Responsibility for other types of building services maintenance to include fabric, HVAC, plumbing, mechanical and related tasks.
  • Provide callout response for the client as detailed on the callout rota.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of plant rooms, workshops, and storage areas.
  • Undertake new installations, major and minor repair works to clients gas/heating systems.
  • Diagnose and repair faults on systems and plant including basic electrical fault finding.
  • Undertake contractor control duties on behalf of the client, including monitoring of contractors and their workmanship, so that relevant standards are met.
  • Ensure that all gas/heating equipment within scope operates to specified performance criteria.
Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications
  • Experience with completing PPMs and some small replacements.
  • Willing to complete general building maintenance.
  • Commercial Gas Tickets.
  • Domestic Gas Tickets.
  • NVQ or C&G in Plumbing.
