Your primary focus is on delivering great food for our students. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the daily operations of a catering contract, ensuring excellent food quality, service efficiency, and compliance with health and safety regulations. The successful candidate will support the Operations team and on-site catering teams in setting and driving standards, whilst also managing in line with agreed budgets and targets. This role requires a hands-on approach with clients and customers to deliver a high standard of customer service.

The Role

  • Organise kitchen duties and resources effectively to provide high-quality catering services.
  • Supervise food preparation and cooking processes to ensure compliance with established cooking methods, recipes, and menus.
  • Ensure the smooth and efficient service of food without disruption to daily operations.
  • Ensure correct materials, equipment and methods are used at all times.
  • Provide a high-quality service in the absence of a kitchen manager on a day-to-day and site-by-site basis.
  • Work with the onsite team to improve the service.
  • Regularly talk with clients and customers about the standard of our service.
  • Have a hands-on approach with schools, clients and customers to deliver a more customer-focused offer at unit level.
